I am passionate about change and fascintated by the impact it has on us as humans. It is one of the most terrifying things we will all face in our lives yet leads us on to different paths that often serve us better. While I was completing my change management certificate I was often asked what brought me into the program. My response was that I seemed to always find myself in situations where I was joining organizations both in professional and volunteer capacities that were in slight turmoil and on the brink of change. Some decided to fight through it and keep as much in tact as possible and others decided to embrace it and evolve. So I decided I should get some technical training in the matter and further understand the mechanics and management of change in orgnaizations.
I love problem solving with different organizations and people and strategizing ways to collaborate with other organizations or make things work smoother. Building community is proven to be a huge contributor to success for any organization I've worked with, collaboration often brings more people and new energy while also lightening the load for folks involved, if done properly.
I have been fortunate enough throughout my life to travel nationally and internationally and learn from many people in all sorts of capacities. Every day is a journey and there is always something to be learned from other people.
I continue to work on unlearning colonial ways of being as well as focusing on listening to indigenous voices and appreciating the lessons to be learned while doing my part to share those with others.
